The Cheese Packet NSR Charity Mixtape

All money made via the mixtape will be donated to the Newcastle West End Food Bank.

Cheese Packet was a radio show hosted by Jake Anderson, Joe Foreman, Alana Wan and Mohammed Haris on Newcastle Student Radio (NSR).
Typically hosted on weekend evenings, the four hosts created a consistent loyal fanbase over the show’s 3 years at Newcastle Student Radio.
Cheese Packet NSR was frequently awarded The Courier's Show of The Week and were nomianted for Best Newcomers during their first year on the air.
Every week Jake, Joe, Alana and Haris would review an album of their choosing, however this typically devolved into chatting sh*t. Some of the albums reviewed were Rumours, IGOR, Oracular Spectacular, Blonde, Titanic Rising, The Slow Rush, Hatful of Hollow, Minecraft Volume Alpha, Donda, Demon Days, Back to Black, and more.
Cheese Packet first aired on 19th October 2019 and had its final airing on 30th April 2022. The show ended due to the hosts graduating from university.

The Charity Mixtape is a final goodbye from the hosts while raising money for the Newcastle community. All money made from this release will be donated to the Newcastle West End Foodbank. The choice to do a mixtape was due to the more playlist style of the release, on top of the clips from the show itself. The mixtape will be exclusive to Bandcamp.
Thank you to all the artists who have allowed us to use one of their songs for this project, as well as letting us interview you for the show. It's been a joy, and we're forever grateful.
